MESP @ MAPMED final conference

OEPT, represented by Eng. Abdel Rahman Hajar, head of Technical Department, participated presenting MESP in the final conference of MAPMED project (Management of Port Areas in the Mediterranean Sea Basin), held on 13-14 October 2015 in Al Kantaoui, Tunisia.

This was a great opportunity to disseminate the important result gained in MESP pilot projects, to networking and to create transversal cooperation.

MAPMED is a project funded under the first call of proposal launched by ENPI CBC MED. It was focused on the improvement of the environmental sustainability of tourist coastal areas in Mediterranean countries through the optimization, validation and transfer of tools to guide institutional authorities in the sustainable management of tourist ports with regard to monitoring and reduction of marine pollution.
The duration of the project MAPMED was 40 months and its total budget is € 2.292.330, of which € 1.799.330 (78.49%) is financed by the European Union.
