MESP Final Workshop in Tripoli, Lebanon

organize on the 9th of September 2015 in Tripoli – Lebanon,
a workshop on the impact of ports’ activities on neighboring areas

The seminar is addressed to local administrations and public and private actors involved and interested in Ports operations and their environmental impact in the three sectors of Water, Air and Noise. The activity is part of the project “Managing the Environmental Sustainability of Ports for a durable development (MESP)” funded by the European Union.

Conference Venue

Tripoli is the second-largest city in Lebanon and is situated 85 km north of the capital Beirut. Tripoli overlooks the eastern Mediterranean Sea and is the easternmost seaport in Lebanon. It holds offshore a string of 4 small islands and borders the city of El Mina, the Port of the Tripoli District, which it is geographically conjoined with to form the greater Tripoli conurbation.

The Workshop will be held in the conference hall of the Order of Engineers in Tripoli.

 

Languages

English and Arabic will be the formal languages for all presentations and discussions
